To answer this question is attributes. You say what is attributes. Well attributes is why a martial artist does what he is capable of doing. Attributesconsist of speed , power, coordination, balance, killer instinct. This what makes him better than everybody else. Look at Muhammed Ali, great boxer, he had those attributes that nobody else has. Bruce Lee had the hand speed that was almost frightening. Michael Jordan, great baskeball player, Jump shots. What made this atheletes stand out above everybody else.Attributes, Not everybody can be a Michael Jordan, Bruce Lee or Muhammed Ali. But if you train your attributes you can be as good as them. But it takes hard word, determination and motivation.
Lots of training, hard word and sweat is what is going to get you there. Talking, well that don't count. Put up or shut up. Or as the old saying goes, "Action speaks louder than words".

Well that can depend on a lot of variables. The greatest martial artist, Bruce Lee says,"Use No Way as Way." There is no style that is better than another. Efficiency is anything that scores. Of course that doesn't mean that there is no concepts or principals to abide by. It just means that you must pick and choose the right weapon or martial art for the circumstance. No art is superior all the time, You have to pick what martial art is right at the moment. Each martial art is practiced within a certain region of the country. It depends on the environment. Where you are at in the present. If you were to fight someone on a icy ground. I don't think Tae Kwon Do would be a good art to choose, because you would slip and injure yourself. A more practical Martial Art would be Monkey Kung Fu with its low stances and emphasis on ground fighting. Tae Kwon Do might be good if you have plenty of room to kick and have a level playing ground. There are many cultures out there. So open your mind and appreciate each culture for its beauty. Each Martial Art comes from a different country and has advantages and disadvantages. This modern practicioner appreciates tradition but has to seek new training methods and fighting styles to be able to adapt to any opponent at any range. To be a complete Martial Artist this is what you have to achieve.

I think with all the martial artists getting older and most of them are going to DVD, most people don't watch too many new martial artist movies. But Tony Jaa is my opinion is the closest thing to Bruce Lee. The two movies he was in shows he has the acrobatic skills of Jackie Chan, The fighting skills of Bruce Lee to fight multiple opponents and maybe the chrisma of Steven Seagul to act in a calm, collected manner when facing dangerous odds of winning. This martial artist will in the future will make some outstanding movies. What do you think?

I for one, do not like Steven Seagals Newer Movies. I like the older movies which shows the fight scenes that look real. The movie that stands out in my mind is Above the Law. Now that movie was the most realistic fight scenes I ever seen. The other movie that I enjoyed was "Out for Justice", where he takes on a villian called sticks. Sticks is none other than Dan Inosanto-Bruce Lee's Protege in Jeet Kune Do. The double stick fighting scene was filmed with intensity. This showed two masters fighting it out. Who would win in real life is another story. It was Stevens movie so it was written where he won. People get confused with real life and fantasy. Some of the movies like Flight of Fury and his newer movies is just that. Fantasy. Flying in the air like a bird. So I would like to hear from other people and see what they have to say about this.

The best martial art depends on the individual. It depends on the body type of the individual. Each martial artist has a different body type. The tall person might want to study tae kwon do. With its high kicking in the art this would suit the taller opponent. The stocky person might not want all that flash and might like the grappling arts like: judo, aikoda and western wrestling. Another person might want to learn Tai Chi for the flowing movements. While another might like Brazaillan jui-jitsu. So as you see what is good for one person, is not always good for another. The landscape of the bridge, grows some short, some long. Take from everything around you without boundaries to limit you. My path is not your path and vice versa. Everybody likes and dislikes are different. To learn more about what art you would like. Check out some different martial art schools. If you want to learn about aikido and the various wrist locks.
